GRAND CYPRESS GOLF CLUB
Let us start with the
North and South courses. These courses offer a lot that will test your
accuracy over strength and distance. The original North South combination was
designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1984. The sharply ledged fairways and
high placed greens that are surrounded by water or sand are sure to test your
Next is the East Nine.
This course opened in 1986 and has a more forgiving style. The beautiful
East number 5 island hole will test your skill, and don’t come up short on this
one. This course is beautifully wooded and has fewer bunkers than the others.
All together the North, South and
East Nines will complement each other beautifully to make three different 18-hole
combinations. These courses have a variety of tee boxes making the courses
enjoyable for top level golfers and beginners as well.
Finally we have the New Course. This course opened
in 1988 and is a tribute to the Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland. Designed
with double greens, stone bridges and walls, gorse mounds, burns and deep pot
bunkers give you the feel of a true Scottish course. There are just a few
challenging water hazards to test you. You will spend more time keeping out of
the 150 deep bunkers. This Jack Nicklaus designed course will make your visit to
Grand Cypress complete.
