Nationally acclaimed golf architect Dan Maples created the front nine at Longleaf in the Scottish open style with subtly rolling fairways.  The back nine however, is heavily tree-lined with dramatic elevation changes.  Longleaf has been called "...the most playable course in Pinehurst."  Resting on the land of one of the Village of Pinehurst's former horse training estates, Longleaf portrays Dan's love of tradition.  In fact, many of the property's original features, such as the white fences, rail post, and hedgerows have been carefully retained as a tribute to the site.  Longleaf provides a round of golf to be enjoyed by all golfers.  Located very close to the heart of the Village of Pinehurst makes it a must play when staying in town.
