The Ford’s Colony, Blue Heron course has long been considered to be the member’s favorite. The most diverse golf on property including long tough par 3’s, par 4’s that leave you wondering why you didn’t make birdie, and par 5’s the require great shot making, all combine to make this a fun layout, and a must play.
During the summer of 2013 the Blue Heron course putting surfaces were renovated with Champion Bermuda grass. The end result has been some of the most consistent, smoothest putting surfaces in the region. The mature Champion Bermuda putting surfaces require a deft touch on and around the greens to ensure good scoring opportunities.
The Blue Heron course carved out of dense wetlands, has numerous opportunities to spot wildlife including fish, birds, turtles, and deer that can often be seen while playing the course.
