Cambrian Ridge at Greenville, Alabama is one of the most unique and visually stunning destinations on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Located just south of Montgomery, the facility features 27 holes of championship golf divided among the Canyon, Loblolly, and Sherling nines. Known for its dramatic elevation changes, beautiful natural landscapes, and memorable hole designs, Cambrian Ridge offers a golf experience unlike any other stop on the Trail.

The Loblolly nine winds through towering pines and gently rolling terrain, creating a classic Southern golf atmosphere reminiscent of some of the country's most prestigious courses. Wide fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and water-guarded greens reward precise shot-making while allowing golfers to fully appreciate the natural beauty of the property. The mature trees and scenic vistas make Loblolly one of the most picturesque nines on the RTJ Trail.

The Canyon nine provides a dramatic contrast, showcasing some of the most spectacular elevation changes found anywhere on the Trail. Carved through former hunting grounds and rugged terrain, this layout features bold shot values and unforgettable views. The opening hole is particularly memorable, a 501-yard par four that drops nearly 200 feet from tee to fairway, immediately introducing golfers to the dramatic nature of the course. Throughout the nine, elevation changes, strategic bunkering, and demanding approach shots create a challenging and rewarding test.

Many golfers consider the Sherling nine to be the crown jewel of Cambrian Ridge. Combining elements of both the Loblolly and Canyon nines, Sherling features rolling fairways, beautiful water features, strategic risk-reward opportunities, and several of the facility's most memorable holes. The layout offers a perfect balance of challenge and playability, making it a favorite among both local golfers and visitors.

Consistently recognized as one of the most beautiful and challenging stops on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, Cambrian Ridge delivers exceptional course conditions, remarkable scenery, and outstanding variety. Whether playing one of the championship 18-hole combinations or experiencing all 27 holes during a golf getaway, golfers will find Cambrian Ridge to be one of the most memorable golf destinations in Alabama.
